Vat Savitri recognition and importance:

Vat Savitri fast is very auspicious and fruitful from the point of view of wishing good luck and getting a child. The banyan tree and Savitri-Satyawan are worshiped on this day. There are different views regarding the date of this fast. According to Skanda Purana and Bhavishyottara Purana, there is a law to observe this fast on the full moon of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month, while according to Nirnayamrit etc., it has been said to observe fast on the new moon day of Jyeshtha month. The special importance of Vat Savitri fast has been told in Sanatan Dharma. The banyan tree is blessed with supernatural blessings by the trinity. According to religious scriptures, worshiping under the banyan tree and listening to the story of Vat Savitri Vrat fulfills all wishes. And the banyan tree is considered to be a supplement of healthy body, knowledge, intelligence and longevity. Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under this tree. Therefore, the married woman who observes Vat Savitri fast and worships the banyan tree, gets the fruit of unbroken good fortune and all her troubles are removed. And married life remains happy and sweet.

Story of Vat Savitri:

There was a king of Bhadra country, whose name was Ashwapati. King Ashwapati of Bhadra country had no children. He offered one lakh oblations daily along with chanting mantras for the attainment of children. This sequence continued for eighteen years. After this, Savitri Devi appeared and gave a boon that a bright girl would be born to you Rajan. Because of being born by the grace of Savitri Devi, the girl was named Savitri. The girl grew up very beautiful. Savitri's father was sad because of not getting a suitable groom. He himself sent the girl to find a groom.

Savitri started wandering in Tapovan. There lived King Dyumatsen of Salva country, because his kingdom had been snatched by someone. Seeing his son Satyavan, Savitri chose him as her husband.

When Rishiraj Narad came to know about this, he reached to King Ashwapati and said, O King! What are you doing? Satyavan is virtuous, pious and strong, but his age is very short, he is short-lived. He will die only after a year. King Ashwapati was deeply worried after listening to Rishiraj Narad. When Savitri asked her the reason, the king said, daughter, the prince you have chosen as your groom is short-lived. You should make someone else your life partner.

The father explained a lot to Savitri but she said that she would marry only Satyavan and no one else. Satyavan lived in the forest with his parents. After marriage, Savitri also started living with him. The time of Satyavan's death was already told, so Savitri started fasting beforehand. When the day of Satyavan's death came, he started going to the forest to cut wood. Savitri said that I will also go with you in the forest. As soon as Satyavan started climbing the tree in the forest, he had a severe headache and he came down from the tree and lay down with his head on Savitri's lap. After some time Savitri saw that Yamraj's messenger had come to take Satyavan. Yamdoot started taking away Satyavan's life, Savitri also started following him, then Yamraj saw that his wife Savitri was coming behind Satyavan. Then Yamraj appeared and started stopping Savitri and said that your association with Satyavan was only till the earth. You cannot go with Satyavan. Savitri said that wherever my husband goes, I will follow him, this is the religion of the wife. Yamraj was very pleased with Savitri's piety and asked Savitri to ask for a boon, Savitri asked for the eyesight of her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Yamraj said Amen and started moving forward, again saw Savitri coming from behind. Is. Seeing this, Yamraj with devotion again asked to ask for another boon, then Savitri said that I want my father-in-law's lost kingdom back. Yamraj started moving forward saying Amen, looking back again, this time also Savitri was coming and Yamraj again asked for a boon, then he said that give me the boon of 100 sons of Satyavan. This time also Yamraj himself was surprised by saying Aastastu that what boon I had given because Yamraj was taking away the life of Satyavan. In front of the power of Savitri's devotion, Yamraj was also happy and returned Satyavan's life. Savitri returned to the tree and saw that Satyavan was alive. When she reached her mother-in-law and father-in-law with her, they got eye light, and they got their kingdom back.

Vat Savitri fast worship method

1- Pour water in the root of the banyan tree, worship the banyan tree with flowers, incense and sweets, prasad, worship material.

2- Taking raw yarn (Kalava) and circumambulating the banyan tree from right to left (in clockwise order), pray while wrapping the yarn.

3- To perform Vat Savitri Vrat, take bath early in the morning and clean the land with Savitri Ganges water and install idols of Satyavan and Yamraj under the Vat tree.

4- If idol or picture is not available, then you can worship Satyavan and Yamraj in the form of mental feelings and thoughts.

5- Parikrama is done in odd number or 108 numbers or often even in seven times. While doing parikrama, chant mantras by keeping prasad, flowers, rolls etc. in hand, so after each parikrama keep offering idols, pictures or at the place of worship.

6- After offering soaked gram, halwa, kheer etc. in Prasad, again give Prasad to children, girls and elders. Take blessings by giving dakshina etc. as per your capacity.

7- It is believed that fasting is ended by eating the bud of the banyan tree.

8- It is considered auspicious to listen, read and narrate the story of Satyavan to people.

अन्तर्दशा साधन विधि : महादशा संख्या वर्ष में महादशा वर्ष संख्या का गुणाकर १० से भाग देने पर प्राप्त लब्धि मास ( माह ) होंगे। ( यदि माह संख्या १२ से अधिक हों तो इसको सवर्णित कर साल तथा माह बना लें ) शेष को ३० से गुणाकर १० से भाग देने पर प्राप्त लब्धि दिन कहलाएंगे। उदाहरण : मान लीजिए गुरु की महादशा में गुरु की ही अन्तर्दशा निकालनी हो तो आप जानते है गुरु की महादशा १६ वर्ष की होती है। इसलिए नीचे १६ को लिया गया है, अन्य उपरोक्त सूत्र के अनुसार साधन किया गया है। १६ *१६ = २५६ भाग १० = २५ मास अथार्त २ साल १ माह प्राप्त हुआ। शेष ६ * ३० = १८० भाग १० = १८ दिन प्राप्त हुआ। अथार्त २ साल १ माह १८ दिन होगी। गुरु के महादशा में गुरु का अंतर्दशा प्राप्त हुआ। इसी प्रकार यदि गुरु की महादशा हो और शनि कीअन्तर्दशा निकालनी हो तो आप मेरे पहले के लेखों के द्वारा जान चुके है कि शनि की महादशा १९ साल की होती है। इसलिए साधन में ( १६ ) गुरु के महादशा वर्ष और ( १९ ) शनि के महादशा के वर्ष लिए जाएंगे। १६ *१९ = ३०४ भाग १० = ३० मास को १२ से सवर्णित क...
