Devrun, Rishirun and Pitrurun - these are the three debts on a human being. Debts to the ancestors are cleared by giving birth to a righteous and virtuous son who is worthy of offering Shraddha-Tarpan to the forefathers by performing Brahm marriage in a proper way. In this way, to protect the tradition of serving the ancestors and following the good religion, the ultimate purpose of marriage is to produce children.
